In one of the soaps this week we witnessed one of the female characters give one of the male characters a hefty punch in the face, since it would never be allowed to be shown the other way round, do you think that this sort of violence against men should also be banned from being shown?

Eastenders has covered it loads of times!

I didn't see the incident you refer to but there is violence from both sides regularly portrayed on our screens.

A girl was punched in the face by a man on Come Home which was shown on BBC recently.

There's an actor here in Ireland played a role as Billy Meghan, well, it was decades ago, he's still remembered for the 'violent attack' he did to Carol the 'wife', she's still in the soap, poor Billy for all his misdeeds was killed off so it does happen the other way. I think all the soaps have at some time covered domestic violence to either sex. Usually when it's to the men in the show there is a link afterwards for Amen, a support network for men affected by domestic violence

Yes, in Happy Valley Tommy Lee whatshisname bashed Sarah Lancashire's character about the head.
