Portable Gas Heater
I am looking for a portable gas heater to have on standby for power cuts, also to have on in the evening for an hour. I want one that has a gas bottle in the back that can be replaced easily and that will stand in my fireplace and look good, also are the spare bottles easy to get and what do you do with them when they run out ?

Clarke products have frequently been praised here on AB. They're sold by Machine Mart, which has branches in almost every town in the UK. So this might be worth considering:

When you first purchase a gas bottle you have to pay a hefty deposit on the bottle (which remains the property of the gas company). Thereafter though you simply exchange the old bottle for a new one, with the deposit being retained against the new bottle. Calor's current prices for a 15kg butane bottle are £77.99 for an initial purchase and then £38.00 when you exchange an empty bottle for a full one.

^^^ If you've got a source of empty Calor gas bottles at that price, Eddie, you can make some easy money. You can get a minimum of £7.50 for each one at any Calor Gas centre:
