Boring - Yes I Am

But I must divulge - I scraped paint off window sills through the week but that left a residue of paint on my flags. Painted sills with undercoat and gloss. Grass was nearly up to the sills in about 3 weeks. Rang literally 7 numbers for grass cutters - got a reply only from one to say he could fit me in on Monday "some time" - I said morning or afternoon - Oh sometime in the afternoon. No I said leave it. So tackled it myself.

I now realise that my big problem is that over the years I have kept cardboard boxes of old appliances that I have bought and threw them in the shed so didn't have ready access to lawnmower etc. Found 3 strimmers. The one I used today was far too heavy so gave that to neighbour - today was the first time it was used.

I found my electric power hose but since it was quite a while in fact years - when I used it - I worked and worked and worked with different bits and bobs and got that going. that got rid of the residue at the back but I had to drag a massive hose to the front which required some stamina with the strength of one arm =- I don't know where I got it from. I was at that today from 1.-6pm.

My downstairs needed to be clean and since I was on a powerhose "high" - had to get that done - results at 10.00pm tonight.

I am done done and very done. Goodnight everybody.

Well done you, I spent the whole day trying to tidy some studio space for myself in our outbuilding and orangery and got absolutely nowhere it looks worse no than before I started. I was just so tired I went to sleep in the end :/

just wanted to see if anyone was interested in my plight - not bad 6 replies.

you know I'm glad I did it and it made me realise I am fitter than what I think. and so I need to start and think more. Oh Bejesus - the house is done but will keep lawnmower at the front of shed for easy access and just use it it every couple of weeks. and power hose will be great too. Front of house looks great with the tidy garden and sills are brilliant white so that's nice. Sista will be surprised tomorrow. I threw all cardboard boxes in the blue bin and shed is empty except for new appliances. Smoothie maker, blender, never used multicooker. What made me buy that when I have a perfectly good cooker. And all other wee electric gadgets.

Oh threw out a cordless stair cleaner - hopeless. bye for now guys and sorry to bore yous all again. xxxx

So nothing in the shed, lawnmower, 2 strimmers, pots and pans that match. Smoothie machines, a brand new multi-cooker - never opened. and of course the power hose. I am going to keep abreast of it all cos I genuinely do not like people controlling me with time.

Next time in 3 weeks will get lawnmower out and keep it trimmed. I know it doesn't sound a big deal to you all but it was a great achievement for a lady over 60 with one arm. So I didn't do too bad.

Will let you know how I feel tomorrow however - I will probably not be able to get out the bed but hope not as I had a wonderful long hot shower.

Wow, you've done amazingly well. I congratulate you in all that you've managed JJ in just one day, have a rest now and relax in that good feeling of almost sorted. What with Chris Beanbcou coming around and tapping at you door :-) and your sister coming too.
