The problem with "compliments" is, now, compared to the previous generation are "spewed" out with great aplomb to incidents or situations not needing "compliments" giving someone the impression that they are better than reality.
Compliments now are given out ten a penny and in my opinion the majority are meaningless.
How many times has a fellow told a very ordinary looking woman, that she is gorgeous....her hair looks nice.....she has a lovely figure, when it is clearly untrue.
Why not wait until someone DESERVES a compliment?
