I want to buy a computer for a friend in San Francisco but all makes have Windows 10 installed.
Is Windows 10 now working OK?
I would greatly appreciate your advice.
Thank you
we were hesitant about win 10 ,but took the plunge from win 8. pretty happy with it , had no issues with updates.pretty fast as well. you can get little apps now to turn telemetry and other thing's you may not want off
As far as I am concerned it has worked alright from the start - as has at least 40 other copies I helped install - I am on the advance program so even though you`d expect them to be less stable I have encountered no issues. Take care to tailor it properly when you first start and keep it updated.
I'm not sure about W10. I had a pc with it on, but I was unable to open all my old files that I had from XP. I got rid and now use W7. I think that is due to end in the next 2 years some time so I'll get a new one, keep the old one and use it as an office extra.
No problems at all. I was used to windows xp and had the windows 10 already on my new laptop when I bought it last month. It takes a little bit getting used to and anything that you don't know how to do, just google. Also I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of Windows 10 for Dummies.
Will wholeheartedly agree with the previous endorsements. W10 is the best operating system by far. Have used them all from W7, xp and the woeful W8. W10 is fast and secure and I also use the Edge browser, but keep chrome installed as a fall back in the event of an Edge failure. I have 3 different machines and have installed it on 2 neighbours lap tops.
