Despite my enormous and gigantic contribution to The Royal and Ancient Society of Useless Golfers, Her Majesty has failed yet again to recognize the benefits of watching me trying to play golf. It's a great comfort to other would be golfers and makes them take up the game because they feel they can't be worse than me, as they try to stand up whilst roaring with laughter. There's no justice in this world!

be a civil servant and pore over the coffee-break EU regulations and what will become of them all after Brexit

no doctors - a few NHS faceless administrators and bureaucrats who clearly need to be rewarded for being wonderful

no one doing their stuff on London Bridge or Manchester

the odd lawyer - chmn of the third tier tax and land appeals tribunal ( second class ) gets a well deserved sir-ship

Oh god I must tell you
a few years ago a prankster got a Honours Appt Cttee letter and colour copied it after alteration

to an NHS admin who was frequently on the train down to London and the ministry

and made him OBE ( second class) with frequent traveller oak leaves....

the oak leaves gave the game away - - not amused.

Not all civil servants do stuff all, every day thousands work very hard to ensure the country continues to run and the majority of smuggling is stopped that taxes get collected - They have not had a payrise in 8 years.
