I was playing five a side football 2 weeks ago when i flicked at the ball hard with the outside of my right foot, i my knee jar but played on. I played 45mins 11 a side last night and my right knee now hurts when i flick my leg out straight or as i straighten it when i walk. The pain is coming from directly below my kneecap, its isn't outrageously painful so i was going to wear a knee support and train on saturday to see how i get on.

Is this reccommended and can anyone suggest what i have done? I think i might of simply jarred the knee somewhat and hope it is nothing to serious.

If the pain keeps on, and withn possibly swelling, see you gp. could be cartilage, Test yourself, see if you can squat without pain in the knee, if you can't, you need medical help.

thanks lonnie,

I can squat without any pain just a few clicks that have always been there!! It only hurts when i strighten the leg out or replicate the flicking movement i made when i first jarred it. I think i will ice it tonight and try the training tomorrow.

Many thanks
