Is there anywhere that I can find the value of a property in 2000 from it's current market price. Or perhaps a table of the percentages that house prices have risen over the years

Try www.hometrack.co.uk they have a pricing tool that might be useful to you.
Go to www.ourproperty.co.uk, it is brilliant! Type in the postcode and it brings up all addresses, the date they were sold and the price they were sold for.
