6 Answers
Can you help me with the selection of good AV receivers. I can spend $ 400.
I chose: Yamaha RX-V383BL, Onkyo TX-NR555. But I'm not sure about them.
I looked through a large number of AV receivers, and compared. Here is the list:
Thanks for the help.

However, if it's a genuine question, you'll need to tell us what it is that's important to you in an AV receiver. At it's most basic, an AV receiver is little more than an amplifier. However some incorporate DAB tuners and/or support streaming via Bluetooth from other devices. So what is it that you actually want in a receiver?
(You'll also need to remember that this is a UK-based site, so the model numbers that people here are familiar with might not be available in your country).

The Denon AVR-X2400H is better-reviewed on most sites than either of the models you've suggested. e.g. 'What Hi-Fi?' magazine (which is probably the most-trusted source of reviews in the UK) awarded it 5 stars when it was being sold here for £500 (US$665). However it's now being widely sold in the UK for just £329 (US$437), so it should be possible to find it in the USA (if that's where you are) for around the top end of your budget, as electronic items are usually a bit cheaper in the USA than in the UK.

However if you don't really need all of the 'bells & whistles' of such an AV receiver, a cheaper model in the Denon range might meet your needs just as well. For example, the Denon AVRX540BT is very well-reviewed and sells here for just £149 (US$198).
