This pop-up on AB occurs almost non-stop, even though I keep accepting.
Is there any way of freeing myself from this nuisance ? If not, why not ?

It could be part of a test designed to check the patience levels of potential moderators.

The pop-up should usually stay away once you have accepted, so I'm not sure why you keep seeing it, unless you are using multiple browsers, using your browser in incognito mode, or regularly clearing your cookies?

When you accept something like this, most sites will record the fact by placing a cookie on your computer. If you, or your browser are in the habit of deleting cookies, you'll see the message again.

I accept every time but to no avail, and I only use one browser at at time ( Firefox). Also, I don't knowingly delete cookies.

I've disconnected a programme called Ghostery which seems to have solved the problem. Is this a useful programme or not ?

I have exactly the same thing - but only on an iPad. I don't have ghostery.

Same thing happens to me on my iPhone, with Safari, but not on my laptop with Firefox.

You’re right, Spath. I forgot that Opera has a built in adblocker. Works fine in Safari on the iPad. Hurrah!

Do you sign out at the end of every session on AB? That might have something to do with it but I'm no techie.

The only reason some users use adblockers is because AB is nigh on unusable with ads & some browsers spath, there have been countless moans about them - clearly you have a special knack of them not bothering you.
