Inspired by a conversation on Rowan's thread and so as not to derail it too much, what will you tolerate in a partner and won't you, are difficult relationships worth working at or is it better to walk away at the first sign of trouble? Nothing personally wrong, was just interested in the opinions being voiced over there. Someone said ' relationships are hard work' and someone countered that they shouldn't be. Are they?

No nor me, I'm a row person then forget it. Both this one and my ex don't like confrontation so I'm permanently sticking a sock in my mouth so I don't say anything :)
I'd much rather row and forget it too, than be ignored.
I tend to ignore him back, but we're going away for a couple of days tomorrow with friends, so I don't know what that's going to be like. Oh well! He'll get over it, eventually.
Just offer him a cup of tea or a beer and see what he says.

I think people who ignore find it hard to break the silence.

It really upsets me if people go all moody and won't speak, makes me feel really sad :(
I've just got home from my grandparents' 70th wedding anniversary party. I asked them what the secret is to still be holding hands after this long. He said "ask your grandmother" and winked.
