Hi I live in a terraced house with a back yard (concrete) is it feasible to deck it?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Because some people put up decking without any thought for the neighbours (I am sure in this case it would be fine) and then they open the curtains and fnd a family having breakfast right in front of their bedroom window practically. Or there are problems re conservation areas etc. etc.The BBC have been asked to put a warning at the beginning of their programmes like Ground Force but they have refused. So it can be that if it is not done correctly it can contravene planning regulations and then enforcement action can be taken, so always best to check.
It is where they deck large areas higher than ground level ... and the neighbours feel it is encroaching on their privacy, or it is so large that it is almost like a building, and believe me some people do it on their own and do it unbelievably badly ! I am sure your company make a fine job of it rugeleyboy, but it is something to be aware of. Plus there are rules if children under 5 are using the decking about balustrades and the like, and multi level decking may not have the right loading and may contravene building regs.
