Sunblock is recommended for animals Pink - especially light coloured ones and ones with very thin fur. It has long been good practice in the countryside to put sunblock on pigs as there backs burn (no jokes about crispy bacon - they all been heard before lol) annnd I've seen horses with hats on. But the coolest by far was the dog I saw with sunglasses on - which he genuinely had to wear as he had an eye condition - his owner had found a childs pair that fitted and attached elastic and he looked soooo cool especially as she tied a red spotted bandana round his neck to complete his 'look'!
I lost both my cats to skin cancer. They both had white on their ears and it started to shrivel. First they had the tips removed but it wouldn't heal up so further surgery was needed. Unfortunately it didn't cure them . So putting sun tan lotion on animals is not as funny as you would think. Wish I had put it on my cats ears.
I lost a cat due to a sunburn melanoma. It comes as a scab that wont heal. My cat had to have the top of his ear removed then it spread to his neck his nose his glands. I couldnt save him so put sunscreen on all the white furry tips. Noses and ears. So for the person who thinks its funny, THINK AGAIN.
