Not having used the TV Red Button recently until watching Tennis this week we have not had a problem watching which game we preferred. Today we were watching Ladies quarter final only to be told by Claire Baldwin that we must “click the Red Button” in order to view the final part of the game. Unfortunately there was No Red Button to press Any ideas guys? TV is a 39” Samsung.
Yes the red button is on your remote, though it does usually appear on screen when available.
Or try directly through the TV depending on your supplier:
BBC Red Button currently provides one video stream to all platforms, which can be accessed directly from Freeview channel 601, Freesat channel 981, Sky channel 980 and Virgin Media channel 991, however the feed is standard definition only.
Here's the remote control for a current Samsung 39" model:

It's clearly got a red button (labelled 'A'), which is the one that's needed.
That, of course, assumes that you're watching programmes provided by the TV's own tuner. If you're watching programmes provided by a Sky box (or something similar), then you'd need to find the red button on the remote control for that Sky box (or whatever).
If you do not have a red button on your remote you can use freeview channel number 601 as above from melv. But unless your TV is pre digital and you are therefore using a converter box you must have a red button on your remote.
I repeat...I have sky remote with Sky Red Button. Until yesterday I had the red button appear on the TV screen which when Red Button on remote was pressed which in turn produced a drop down menu in order to allow me to choose which tennis match I wished to follow.
All I am missing is the Red Button on the TV.
Have you tried pressing the red button anyway? Failing that, do as the previous posts suggest and go into DTV ( I presume you are in scart or HMIV2) and find channel 601. Did you try Eurosport? They are showing Eastbourne and ( unlike the BBC) they don't cut off in the middle of a match.
As has been indicated by others, all that pressing the red button actually does is to change to a dedicated channel. You can do that just as easily by entering the relevant channel number for red button services (which is 981 for Sky).
^^^ Correction: Like Chelle, I've been trusting Wikipedia.
All 'red button' content can be accessed through Sky channels 980 through to 986. (i.e. if, for example, there are separate feeds for different courts in a tennis championship, then each of those channels will show a different court).
