My best mates cat has been hit by a car and left for dead, it must have happened during weds daytime and it took him til this morning to drag himself home, with a broken pelvis in 2 places, and internal injuries, the vet thinks he has been dragged along by the car as all his claws have gone and his nose is all grazzed, somone out there must have known what they have done and driven away, why are people so thoughtless, it may just be a cat to some people but others its a part of the family, shes now having to explain to her son that he might die in the night, how sad!

Heartless B***ards i hope they get nothing but bad luck for what they did to that poor cat and that goes to anyone else who hurts or kills animals for fun! my prayers are with the poor cat and i hope to god he makes a full recovery,let us know tomorrow hun x

perhaps the driver didnt notice theyd hit it?
its easy in the dark to run over some rubbish and i imagine clipping a box or bag on a road may sound similar ?

awhh, that is very sad but there is a possibility that the driver may not have been aware that they had hit the cat. I was almost hit by a lorry last night.. he didn't notice my car, so I guess a little kitty might have been unseen.

I hope he makes a good recovery x

i was just thinking if i was driving , to be honest if id hit the cat i think id have had to call police or somoene

as i wouldnt have been able to move the poor wee thing.

im rubbish with injured animals as i find it very upsetting.

There are a lot of folk who either don't see animals as having any importance or just don't care. A number of years ago a cat of mine disappeared for several days-which was not like her.I awoke one morning to find her at the foot of the bed with a rabbbit snare wrapped round her neck. it was a wonder she got away!
I hope your mates cat is lucky,and DOES make a recovery.

sorry to read re your cat,similar happened to our cat a few (6) years ago,cost a fortune,but well worth it,tinks still with us & no signs that anything happened to her,thoughshe's still bossy and peeerfect
