If you read the link it says, '' Ratings surged when he was given a spot'' Ratings are all that matters to ITV, higher ratings mean higher advertising revenue.

Hardly relevant. Not watched the ITV morning show for years. Not since they changed the format to hide behind the desk. Was the surge from 1 to 5 ?

There's always Ant & Dec, or maybe just Dec or even just Ant as he seems to be recovering from his maladies now (judging by what I read in the papers).

I'm not quite sure how ITV operate but if he is contracted to them they will cast around for suitable vehicles for him to showcase his talents, so they get some return on their investment. This is just the latest....

I, too, am utterly impervious to the alleged charms of RM and find life quite bearable during his absences from my TV screen.

Don't watch either programme but i have always found Madeley (with 2 'Es')easy to listen to and sometimes unintentionally hilarious. Vine, on the other hand? Didn't mind him until he appeared on strictly. Since when, he comes across as a totally egocentric bore. Always switch over from Radio 2 at 12 til 2 weekdays.

I find RM a bit creepy, but I don't watch the programme anyway, I'd not watch anything with piers morgan on.
