3 Answers
I have an old Packard Bell desk top computer which although 11 years old is in good working order apart from the fact since I have had to do a system restore I have lost all sound. On checking with the device manager I find that that all divers located appear to be ok. however I find that there is a red cross against the sound mark bottom right near clock and when opened tells me that there is no sound device installed. I am running Windows 7 32bit, I have an Idea that I am missing the following:- ASUSTEC Tiger Capture Device Driver. Where and how can I obtain download and install this item . I would be grateful for any help

but, assuming that you've got 'onboard sound' (rather than an actual soundcard) I'd prefer to go the website of the manufacture of your motherboard to be sure of finding the correct sound driver.

Thanks Buenchico sorry its taken sooooooo long to get back re the problem with my desk top's computer sound but it is only last weekend that I found an answer that has worked, even going back to the computer manufacturer did not help. For a little over £5 + postage I found that I could purchase a Sabrent USB Audio Sound Adapter. It worked straight away, its the best £5 i've spent in a while. For anyone suffering from the lack of sound this could be the answer. I bought it from Amazon where you can read all of its capabilities.
