Don't own a tv, currently not listening to any radio but apparently England have managed to kick a ball about quiet expertly for the last hour or so ...big deal!
Just why do people get so exited about a football match?
Am I odd in not giving a fig?
I am genuinely NOT interested in what my 'tribe' has achieved tonight.
Sometimes it feels good to not be a part of the pack....

Well done . :-)

No, Nailit: you're getting in touch with your feminine side.
Nailit....I'm Irish and I don't have an interest in football so I'm not part of a pack or tribe.....but I'm happy that England did well not just for the fans who love the game... it's nice and happy making to support your country even if only from the sidelines....x
I see sport as an alternative to fights & war. Its mostly counties & countries playing against t’other. Plus who can resist the eye candy.
It was a fairly pointless exercise, being decided by just ten
consecutive kicks at the end, after 2 hours of chasing around achieving very little. Why not do that at the start - and if all the teams did that, the whole caboodle could then be over in a day or two.

There's a reason I don't follow football. I had to leave the room. I was sitting on the stairs for the penalty shoot out I was so nervous.
I have no interest in football either. Rugby Union is a proper game! The Six Nations is one of the best events in the sporting world. That's including the womens competition too.
Ken, the last time Burnley were in Europe, the fans were banned from the ferry for damaging the sails and the rigging.
It's ok to feel like that, Nailit. I know lots of guys that couldn't care less about football. But I know a lot more that do care about it. And that means that someone will make a lot of money out of them. Now the biting makes sense!
There were 3 games going on at the time. Football, cricket and tennis. I'm not a football fan, but I kept it on the telly in favour of the others, which I love. It was exciting.
10ClarionSt; haha, i laughed so much, i nearly bought a round :-) Actually, the last time we were in Europe, 'tribalism' took on a whole new meaning. Dirty, underhand, rough-stuff tactics from the Napoli squad led to a goalmouth melee which had our reserve 'keeper, Adam Blacklaw (a 'unit' if ever there was one) racing onto the pitch to stick up for our regular keeper (Harry Thompson) by flooring one of the Italian players. Our local press headlines read, "See Naples and die." Made last night's fracas in the penalty area look like handbags at ten paces. Ah, those were the days :-)
I don't give a fig either ..!
Ken, I remember Adam Blacklaw. A BIG guy wasn't he? Also remember Jimmy McIlroy, Ray Pointer, Andy Lochead, John Connelly etc. Andy Lochead said to a friend of mine: "If that *** Best comes near me, I'll break his f****** back" Happy days, eh?!
Something to bring loyalty to our, " tribe, " as opposed to the ragheads tribe out to overthrow us?
