Hi. I joined my present job in Oct 2016, but have still not signed a contract. The original contract I was asked to sign when I joined was wrong as it did not represent the correct job description. I have been asking for the contract to be reviewed and amended regularly over the last 18 months, but I still have not signed a revised contract. Where do I stand?

I understand that my boss did speak to HR but that the HR rep has subsequently left and therefore no action was taken. I have worked for the company since Oct 2016 and still have no signed contract.

An employment contract doesn’t have to be written down but an employer must give employees a ‘written statement of employment particulars’ - see link for more details:-

The CAB also provides information some of which might be helpful:-
