OH did gin and tonics but they weren't. He had picked a bottle of soda out of fridge and used that. It didn't taste good. I said throw it away and start again so he did!

Gin and soda? Very trendy, apparently!

(It could be a bit tricky in a bar though. If you ask for "G & S", rather than "G & T", you might be treated to a selection from HMS Pinafore!)

Perhaps your hubby should have reached for the lime juice (to add to the G&S), making a Gin Rickey or, as well as the lime juice, sugar, in order to make a Gin Fizz. Or even add an egg white to the Gin Fizz, to make a Silver Fizz.
Maybe he threw the bottle of gin out:)
PS: Im just finishing off the last of my current stock of Hollows and Fentiman's Ginger Beer (4% ABV).

B & M have been selling it at just 69p per (33ml) bottle recently. (It's not been marked as a special offer but I have noticed that the bottles are all quite short-dated). That's ridiculously cheap for some rather tasty booze, so I'm hoping that it's still in stock when I visit again tomorrow ;-)
