Thanks all. We're really excited. Whoever lived there all their life never cleaned anything EVER.
Is it empty then? How long has it been so?
Question Author
No, Tilly, a "beneficiary" is living there, in near-squalor, on a grubby mattress with no bedding other than a dirty square tartan blanket. He didn't want to do the viewings himself. I'm not surprised, he's probably embarrassed about the state in which he's living.
You'll be buying lots of bleach then? You are brave taking that on.
Question Author
We are, Tilly, but it's got so much potential and the location is first class x
It's hard work. We've recently had one room renovated and it took weeks for the dust to settle.
Cleaning, that's nothing, it's all the other stuff. The housewarming will be a bottle party, I will bring flash and windowlene....
Good luck with your new home.
Hope that you will be happy in your new home.
