Getting cooler here, Seek...down to 22 at last....

Big hog arrived so I decided to snack on the patio and watch him quietly...
I bit into a sausage roll without realising a moth had landed on it...it stuck to my top lip...moths are quiet powdery..... :-(

Still over 27deg in my back garden - and clammy too - hope we get the thunderstorm tomorrow.

Hate the stickiness in the hot weather, worst part of it, thank heaven for air con and ceiling fans, only way to survive !

That's one problem with eating at night, sometime you can't see your food, never liked the sound of moth wing somehow !! Xx

Dave has aircon, Seek....I only have fans...but I have trained them to follow me around...

It is the stickiness....don't mind being hot but when everything is clingy and sticky it's not good.....I have discarded most clothing...x

Ah, now I understand (although I'm unsurprised by you having a high turnover of neighbours anyway!)

Kindly don't mention lightning to me though. It's not allowed to rain until at least the end of next week 'cos my car is stuck outside a local garage with all the windows down! It's got a fault with the electronics, which meant that the RAC had to put it on a recovery truck on Monday. The spare parts aren't due to get here, from a breaker's yard in Andover, until next Tuesday or Wednesday, so the problem can't be fixed until Thursday or Friday of next week at the earliest. So it's GOT to stay dry until then!!!

I began to rain but before I could say...bliss...it stopped.....

The storms and torrential rain will arrive on August 11th, which is the day the family meet up in Pembrokeshire for our weeks holiday.

It's got to start raining soon, Horselady. The last few schools are breaking up for the summer holidays, so that should be the start of 6 weeks of lousy weather ;-)
