My grown up daughter has suddenly had acne return on her face after she thought it was long gone! Any tips on how to help get rid of it would be most welcome. By the way, she has to be careful of chemicals as she is trying to get pregnant, hence good old fashioned home remedies would be best.

Best of luck with home-made remedies....even dermatologists can struggle with acne sufferers.
Is she using any kind of chemical help to TTC? Hormones are notorious for triggering acne. Maybe she actually is pregnant?

Thanks for the twitter link Ric-ror, I'll pass it on to her. I know its a difficult problem to deal with but you never know, someone out there might have a mircle cure! It's definitely hormones, and no she doesnt use chemical topical cream, she used to and it helped but dried out her skin terribly. She's not pregnant yet, I wish she was, her and partner been trying for about 18 months. Thanks all.
patsy, by ttc, i meant trying to conceive. If she is using any kind of chemical assistance with this then that may be why the acne is back. Stress doesnt help either of course. if it was me i would be going to the doc for advice.
There is a light treatment that should be ok for her to use

Perhaps someone else may have a link to that

Wasn't sure what that meant! As far as I know she is not using chemical assistance to get pregnant. She is stressed at the moment with change of job. At the moment her face doesn't seem so bad. Perhaps the rest after Christmas helped.I suppose in time it will settle, thanks Woofgang.
I've heard that tea-tree oil is quite effective.
These suggestions are all based on kitchen ingredients:

So shouldn't pose any dangers.
