No he is a myth, a greek one actually.
Indeed, he existed in the same way that all the other Greek mythological people/creatures did ;o)
Yes...he was Steptoes' horse
The Greeks called him "Herakles" though, so thats the proper name for him.
Of course he existed, and he made several movies in the '60s
no, he did not actually exist but was just a Greek myth who has been talked about as if he was real for thousands of years. If he was real, then surely we would have people like him now?
And concidering his dad was meant to be Zeus, it's a little unlikely that he was real lol
I suppose as likely as any other God. He's real if you believe in him. Was on Naxos a good few years ago and we had a little bit of surprise when we visited a ruined temple and a bloke was praying to whoever it used to represent,(forgot),so I suppose to him,Heracles and other Greek Gods are real
just as much as Jesus and Christian's god is real. i.e. not at all
yes he did. my grandad did some work for him once.
He was born in Heraklion so he must have been real.
There was probably a man living at the time who was tall and had a lot of strength (maybe a warrior or soldier or such) and was talked about for centuries after....maybe people handed down the thought that since he was so fantastic that he must have been the son of Zeus....just a thought....
no hes a myth! well no one knowes actually!
Something closer to Iraklis, mycats; the "Heracles" version of the name comes from Northern European academics during the Age of Reason. The town in Crete (Kriti) that we call Heraklion is called Iraklion in Greek. Either way up he didn't exist ........
jesus did exist eezablade. that has never been debated. what is debated is wether or not he walked on water, healed the blind, turned water into wine, son of god etc
Of course not!. It only existed as a character in the ancient Greek Mithology, and if my almost as ancient mithologic background is correct, he was the son of Zeus, father of the gods and supreme ruler of the Olympus. He had to accomplish several epic deeds, one of which was to behead the multiple headed monster Hydra. The only problem was that every time he cut one of its heads, it regrowed two in the place of the one lost!, so the problem got compounded for poor Hercules. But in the end our Greek super-hero managed to kill that apocaliptic monster and succeeded in many other deeds, becoming one of the most admired characters of the ancient world.
