Why are cows called cows? why arent they called beef?
why when we cook cow.. do we change its name?
when we cook chicken we dnt call it somthing random.
Lamb is still called lamb even after we cook it...
and pork 2.... y jus call pigs pork instead?

In 1066 the Normans conquered England and introduced the French words which were used for the meat. Of course, being the lords they didn't get their hands dirty with the live animals. Hence: pork = French porc; mutton = mouton; beef = boeuf. Lamb is a fairly recent invention as far as food is concerned.
