I think I've see it all now! My flabber is gasted!

Saw an ad today saying that for £10 an hour, someone will cuddle you, bringing wellbeing ect.

Well we are a very cuddly family and I love the hugs and the feeling of love and wellbeing it brings me and gives the other members of the family.

But can you really get this from a stranger? I find it very sad if people have no one to cuddle and have to resort to this.

When I first saw it I thought it might be some perv but I googled it and it is a legitimate service and not a sexual one.

In Japan they do this and also they will 'help you cry' if you are depressed and unhappy about something. It's considered reasonably normal there I gather.

It is sad for some folk who live alone (Like myself) and maybe do feel lonely. However when I see my nieces they always make up for any loneliness I may have felt missing them.

'Reasonably normal' for Japan though may also include the clip of a game show I saw last night where contestants presented themselves over a transparent tube wearing only boxers and had what looked like fireworks launched at their, err, gentlemans vegetables.

Not sure they subscribe to 'normal' as a rule. Certainly in need of some TLC afterwards. :-)

Spath - not really, to get cuddles from family means love to me, that's what makes me fuzzy inside, don't think I would feel that from a stranger who I have paid to be nice to me.

Yes we're a very huggy lot, and a massive family, they're lovely but I'm missing someone and I'm on my own and not feeling very well at the moment so feeling a bit sorry for myself x
