Sky digibox - poor recordings

Does anyone else have problems with recording on Sky?
The soaps are fine, however Big Brother eviction night programs and The F Word for example both break up terribly. You lose about half of the sound and what you do get is out of sync. Could this be the digibox, and if so, why is it so selective? Any ideas?

My auntie has a Sky+ box and had problems with recordings on C4. She bit the bullet and called out an engineer who charged her �65 and replaced the digibox. Don't know why only C4 was affected though. My Sky+ box seems to cut out the audio periodically. I'm waiting for more problems to surface...
