It obviously depends on the media they use eg tv, outdoor, magazine or online etc. Also depends on when, where and for how long the advert is featured. Because MacDonalds is such a big company, they probably can arrange special rates when buying their media. For an example of tv, go to the Channel 4 website, for magazine look on a website say for the Daily Telegraph Magazine, for outdoor look on the JC Decaux website. On all the websites, look for an advertising "rate-card", for a ball park figure.

You could look in an issue of BRAD which is the industry bible for advertising prices. It's produced monthly and will tell you the cost of advertising in every publication in the country. Plus TV and radio are also listed. You should be able to find a copy in your local or university library. Hope that helps!
