Does anyone know of any websites that can tell you more about old/Antique items

Is it a single item if so if you link a pic of it I'll get my brother to look at it, he ran an auction house which sold antiques and he used to value them. More generally Millers do guides but there is a lot of leeway there and things missing and the prices are always off by miles.
