What's everyone having / had for dinner this evening?

We're having cottage pie, broccoli, green beans, curly kale and gravy. Good old comfort food.

LC....Oh it's really easy......just read the instructions with a magnifying glass....then prick and ping..... ;-)

Ah, gotcha. You should have kept quiet - I was silently impressed there for a moment. ;-)
Years since I made cannelloni, used to love it. I'm having a sirloin steak, pepper sauce, lots of mushrooms and the curly fries left over from the grandchildren's visit, some salad too, to reduce the guilt!
Keep quiet?! No way....if you can cook or pretend to then folk expect you to cook for them.....
Today I have worked on my bookcase quilt.....gardened and sorted out one of the ponds. I've made a start on another water feature as well as spray painting metal sheep and other things that have gone a bit rusty or dull.....
Those things will last and give me pleasure for a long time to come...if I had spent time cooking a meal from scratch all that I'd have left to gaze at is a pile of dirty dishes......
The cannelloni was nice.....just added a few herbs......little mixed salad so variety without the waste.....and the potato......was a potato... :-)
Gness there was a sister in itu when I was there had her kitchen taken out and replaced with a gym. All she had was a microwave, a kettle and a toaster and a lot of takeaway menus. She and her husband were triathletes so it seemed to make sense to them
Rowan....I have been working in the garage today which means clearing away to get the car in....
I was wondering which room I could use as a permanent workroom for messy stuff....I already use one bedroom for fabric and wool work...

I did consider the kitchen....but sadly I have visiting children and friends who love to cook.....I do exchange my skills for their offerings...
So I am looking at a shed like construction at the side of the front of the house.....not a huge area but wasted as garden.....and in my head just now it is beautiful..... :-)
Yellow fin sole is in the freezer in Lidl. Two dusting or flavours, lemon and parsley or cracked black pepper. Can be cooked from frozen too! Great if you need a quick meal.
Mexican rice, with peppers.
