Dodgy Lift
8 Answers
I am one of 10 residents living in a new build. It is 6 months old, and has a lift which broke down a couple of weeks ago. An engineer came out and repaired it, assuring us all was well. The next person who used it was trapped and discovered the internal telephone was out of order. Luckily a neighbour eventually heard his shouts after 30 mins. It seems the telephone cannot be repaired until the next routing maintenance. Surely that cant be correct?? I will be too frightened to use it. Should this not be part of a health and safety protection?

If you get nowhere with those who should be fixing it I'd have a word with the local fire chief.....they are often the ones who have to rescue folk trapped in lifts.....I'm sure he/she'd prefer to prevent it....x
