8-Year-Olds Set To Be Taught 'your Gender Is What You Decide'
38 Answers
Reports show children as young as eight could be told they can be a boy, a girl or neither, under draft lesson plans backed by the Scottish Government. And in resources for how to teach RSHP – Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood – teachers are advised to talk about LGBT issues with children from the age of five. www.scotsman.com/news/primary-one-children-will-be-told-your-gender-is-what-you-decide-1-4779133
In draft lesson plans for five to eight year olds, teachers are encouraged to use a video from homosexual lobby group Stonewall to promote LGBT issues.
The lessons state that gender “is different from the sex we are assigned at birth”. “When people grow up, sometimes they decide to change their gender so that they are happier with who they are, this is called being transgender”, it states.
For children aged eight to eleven, lesson plans declare: “Your gender is what you decide. You might be a boy or a girl, or maybe you don’t like to decide that.”
Final lesson plans – which are supported by groups including the Scottish Government and NHS boards – are expected to be completed by next summer.
My question is this: If you believe that ‘your gender is what you decide’, is eight years old too young to learn about gender identity? If you believe (like I do) that gender is decided at birth, are you happy that eight year olds could be taught this, or disturbed that this is another politically-motivated, unnecessary, sinister intrusion into the innocence of childhood, and an attempt to foist so-called ‘progressive’ ideologies onto our children?

//In New York City, it is now illegal to discriminate anyone whose gender is male, female, "or something else entirely."
Mayor Bill de Blasio's office last week released a list of 31 genders approved by the New York City Commission on Human Rights, The Washington Free Beacon reports.
The list is a guide for businesses, which can now be fined as much as $250,000 if establishments refuse to address someone by their preferred pronoun.
According to the commission, gender identity is "one's internal, deeply-held sense of one's gender as male, female, or something else entirely.
"A transgender person is someone whose gender identity does not match the sex they were assigned at birth," the factsheet says.
The 31 genders listed include "drag king," "drag queen," "butch," "femme queen," "gender fluid," "gender blender," "gender gifted," "gender bender," and "femme person of transgender experience."
In addition, New Yorkers may also use the bathroom or locker room of their choice — based on their "gender identity," without having to show proof or documentation.
"Individuals have the right to follow dress codes and grooming standards consistent with their gender identity expression," the fact sheet says.
In addition, there's a section called "Courtesy 101," which cautions people against making "assumptions about a transgender person's sexual orientation."
"If you don't know what pronouns to use, ask," according to the fact sheet. "Be polite and respectful; if you use the wrong pronoun, apologize and move on."//
Meanwhile over here when Tommy Robinson self identifies as being "Tommy Robinson" our own libtards insist he is not allowed to change his name. Haha. Must do better.

"I think it is right that children are taught that gender does not define who a person is or what they can or cannot do."
Quite right. But that's totally different to what's being proposed here.
This has become ridiculous. There are a very, very small number of people who are "born in the wrong body". The numbers with this very unfortunate condition are so small as to be insignificant but they need all the medical help available.
But along come the politically correct pillocks and start spouting this nonsense. It alienates the public from the people I mentioned above who genuinely need help. It's ridiculous, it's screwing young people up with confusion and it needs to stop.

lgbt political correctness, even playing field logics or confused youngsters.. mummy i don't know what i am, are you really a mum or was you a man once or vice versa, can i be a girl or boy today, can i be both, but not on saturday, leave children alone, teach them the three Rs with a little cooking music lessons, and about jobs for the future.
No, please no. Children are children. All I knew at that age was that boys had penises and used separate toilets (thank goodness, because in Primary school they used to wet the seat and everything around.
Please let the vast majority of children have their childhood. Growing-up gradually is enough for most of us to cope with and the tiny, infinitesimal percentage who struggle must make way for the majority.
