How To Get To Devil's Dyke

am gong to Brighton on a day trip and as I have been many times before thought this time would take the bus from the seafront area to Devils Dyke right to the top. How far does the bus go ? I think you have to walk the last bit and remember there was a pub at the top that did pub grub but t wasn't too clever grub, but edible Can someone kindly tell me what number bus and where can board,approx how long is the journey and how far the walk, bearIng in mind I am 80 years young now, so I would rather someone say don't attempt it if its gong to kill me LOL ! but am fairly active I would say.

From Brighton train station it's 6 miles. A train ticket gets you a '2-for-1' offer on adult single and return tickets, or a 1/3 discount on a full adult single fare, on the 77 service bus to Devil's Dyke. Just show the bus driver your valid train ticket.

Best trip is open top bus it stops by the pier. Not sure of the number but it has Devils Dyke on the front. Not too far to walk at the Dyke, the cafe /restaurant isn't brilliant. Pop into m and s before you go and take a picnic if the weather is nice. If not have a cup of coffee and eat when you get back. If you get a hop on hop off ticket go back along to Rottingdean nice tearooms there and some ok shops

thank you everyone brilliant helpful; answers. We go by coach from Essex to Brighton and can use our bus passes when we get there.
Been to Broadstairs today and after a headcount, there were a few empty seats on the coach, we started back at 4.30pm after 45 mins homeward bound one couple announced two ladies were missing so we did an about turn and went all the way back, they were still sitting at the coach stop.
