flushing a spider down the loo

if you flush a spider down the loo,does it actually go........or does it some how stay in the pipe work,i.e in the bends of the loo

Place it on a piece of paper. take a glass of water. keep a pencil or pen handy. Place the paper (with the insect )on the water and using the pencil push the piece of paper to the bottom of the glass. most times the insect will stay on the paper and thus be inside the water. Place the pencil in such a way in the glass that the paper stays in the water and does not float. Now time how long the insect can stay under water. you will be surprised. They can happily stay under water for an hour or more before they float to the surface and walk away. So there is your answer to the flushing question
