There Are Limits, You Know

My little dog, Milo - yes he's a Jack Russell and yes i have seen the film, Mask, but he already answered to the name when he came to me, just to be clear - does something almost every day that makes me laugh out loud. As much as i love him, however, i do draw the line, sometimes. We've just been for our usual early morning walk in the park where, as per usual, he watered almost every blade of grass. Thing is, he doesn't just sniff the grass before leaving his scent, he tastes it. Then, when we get home and i'm taking the harness off him, he always tries licking my face. As i said, there are limits :-//

A training issue, when he tries to lick your face a sharp down, and a fuss for being a good boy, when I had a dog face licking and sniffing human bums were both forbidden.

mm; can't stand cats - far too sneaky and remind me of the ex.

ael; hope your dog's grass eating habits are rare. If she eats a lot of grass, maybe she's having difficulty digesting the food you give her. My old dog, who i had put down a couple of years back, ate grass now and then but toward the end of her 15 years, she was eating it after almost every meal. Took her to the vets who diagnosed an illness female dogs who have not been spayed can develop in their dotage.

thanks for the info ken, she's fifteen now and in good health, she only eats grass occasionally

ael; pleased to hear she's in good health. Some dogs do eat grass on a regular basis but not enough to make them sick. When they do eat enough to vomit, it's usually a sign that either they're having a bit of trouble digesting their last meal or something more sinister may be afoot.
Spath; agree, totally vile whether the dog's been licking it's bits or not.
