1 thor something?
Thornaby-on-Tees is often referred to as THORNABY and was traditionally in the North Riding. It's named after Thormod, a Viking warrior (it was a gift from Halfdene Ragnarsson, King of the Danes, for his services in Ireland - I don't know about murder but he was a Viking after all).
I can't get nearer than BROKES for the other one (sounds like 'brogues' - but I don't know if brogue-style trainers are popular with the young). 'Loftus' for 'loafers' is too wide of the mark I think.
There is a village Airmyn and a Nike trainer Air Minot but this is the closest I can get

bubs02 - HOPGROVE is a tiny village near Stockton on the Forest (both close to York).
I am stuck with the trainer question as well. Do anyone think it might be a make of trainer rather than a style
