For the last 9 months or so, my desk-top PC has been set to go to sleep after 1 hour of no activity (15 mins for the screen). It has done this without a problem until this last week. The screen still goes off, but no sleep for the tower.I have to click the sleep icon myself in the settings.box. What might have happened??

What does the PC run, is it Windows 10?

Has it done a major update to Windows 10 in the last week or so?

If so it may have gone back to the default settings.

You can change these settings very easily.

Windows 10 was installed when I bought the tower last Oct.I have not done any updates myself (just what comes through in the middle of the night)----how do I change any settings if that would cure it?
I have not got Windows 10 to hand so cant give you exact instructions.

It may be in the "power" settings, try searching for "power" in the Windows 10 search field.
Type 'sleep' into the search box and click on the top answer 'Change when the pc sleeps', adjust as required
