Am having problems with gmail recognising my password. It worked earlier in the day. Would like a free telephone number for technical support. 'Phoned up London and immediately got cut off.
Does anyone have the Freephone number for gmail technical services please?
I don't think you're likely to get anyone from Google on the phone.
So at the risk of seeming condescending: is NUM-lock on? Are you sure the username you've entered is right? Are you sure all the keys on your keyboard work properly? Are you sure you haven't accidentally changed the keyboard layout to US or French etc.?
Everything was working correctly up until lunchtime. I managed to find a Freephone number, didn't write it down when I 'phoned, got through to India, couldn't hear what was being said, they 'phoned back and then the call ended abruptly. Would be great if there was a UK telephone number.
There is definitely a support 'phone number somewhere. Have done the other suggestions, to no avail. Not having a very good day with my computer. Have got so much work to do too.
I received a message on my 3 phone at just before 3 o'clock, I replied to it and it wouldn't send. Tried to call our home number, full signal strength, but couldn't get through.
Phoned 3 and their technical department and was told that a problem, was identified just after 3 pm, there is a possibility that these two problems might be related.
Muskox, do you have the Gmail app on your phone? That would let you view your e-mails.
In terms of phone numbers, all I can see is:
Google London
Google UK Ltd
Belgrave House
76 Buckingham Palace Road
London SW1W 9TQ
United Kingdom
Phone: +44 (0)20-7031-3000
Fax: +44 (0)20-7031-3001
But I am assuming that is the number you called earlier.
Don't have an APP on my 'phone - just use a landline.
Yes, the London number is the one I used earlier. I could kick myself for not writing down the Freephone number when I used it earlier.
Am now trying something else to rectify the problem. Am trying to forward my 'old' gmail to a freshly set up gmail account. The instructions tell me to go on to tools and select settings. The only trouble is there is no 'select settings' option on my Windows 7 list (top right hand side)
Found the number on the internet, but have been searching for hours and can't find it now - really annoyed.
Am able to get onto gmail, but not my password. Can access my new gmail account with its new password and I can arrange to have emails forwarded, but don't seem to have the right tools.
I really don't understand now. You have access to your account and you want to change your password?
Also, I am very suspicious of this call centre you got through to. Go to the buttom right-hand corner of your inbox (assuming you have access to it..) and click "details" and see if all the IP addresses listed for today are the same.
