In this day and age, with all manner of electronic communication available, I think the constituencies ought to be enlarged further to about 100,000 voters.
Any MP worth their salt can keep her/his finger on the pulse without having to be in constant attendance in their constituency.

I agree, 300MPs max, abolish all the devolved "parliaments" and replace all the councils with private firm to empty the bins. Save a fortune.

What is wasteful is having a MSP and an MP representing the same area. Scotland should look after its own affairs. And so should England without Welsh, Scottish and N.Irish MPs tainting HofC votes.
