just tactics?
Why is everybod always trying to keep up the image of The Terrorists as being violent ant ruthless lunatics, coming from nowhere and killing people for no apparent reason?
Don't get me wrong here. I'm not trying to defend these people. I just think it's amazing how American officials are denying the fact that there are, in a way, very good reasons for terrorism, american foreign policy being one of them.
I can't stop thinking that what Bush did in Israel last Weekend(?) was just another way of stirring up some more terroists he can fight to look good for the elections. wouldn't be the first time either.
please tell me I'm wrong.

no, but seriously: Sorry if I hurt your feelings, but don't you think it's a little bit weird that after a gazillion of UN reolutions against Israel and this whole roadmap thing (which was, by the way, initiated by the US) Bush is about to make the whole region explode (even further)?
I do not agree that there could ever be "very good reasons" for terrorism. I do agree that America, should shoulder its responsibilties in the world, and admit where it has made mistakes in foreign policy. That is incumbent upon any nation, not jus the USA. Terrorists ARE ruthless and violent, but I don't think anybody really believes they come from nowhere and kill for no reason. There are always reasons for their actions, whether they are prompted by the actions of another country, religious fanaticism, or any other political or economic reason.
The region can't get much worse than it is just now anyway. The fact is religous hatred is the cause of most terrorism in the world. Personally i don't care about it but some people take it too seriously and are prepared to die and kill innocents for it. I suppose that the 20 Iraqi school children that were killed yesterday were blood on tony blair's hands. Ultimately that shows that these people don't care who they kill.
one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter, can't remember who said that first but it's true, nelson mandela was a terrorist, to a large extent condoned violence and was certainly prepared to die for his cause. i do not think for a minute we are privy to the sort of information that governments are, they are in a position to employ propoganda, but they are human beings and we elected them to represent us. theres another quote about "democracy being the worst form of government apart from all the others" that seems applicable too. hindsight would seem to be the only perspective that reveals any truth.
