I am sorry. Until now I had missed your post at 2253. In answer I would agree with you regarding what you repeated in that post but disagree with the rest of your post@ 1354 i.e.
"Stabbings have happened for millennia" Of course but not in the swathe we are seeing over a short period and by the most part the Metropolis. I acknowledge it is happening elsewhere to a lesser degree
and
"Life is no cheaper than at other points throughout history"
As I suggested earlier. If you talk about lives lost in industry through ignorance or accident then I believe there is no comparison to be made with today's premeditated bloodbath on the streets.
The difference IMO . One is accidental. The other deliberate.
