The actor Dudley Sutton who played Tinker in Lovejoy has died. He was 85, I loved that character.

I always remember watching TV with my mum when I was a child, and Dudley often popped up as a really nasty gangster character, the sort who likes hurting people. Either my mum or I would always say to the other - "I bet he's a really nice person in real life …" - and it turns out that he really was.
