Any suggestions for a couple of tried and tested vegetarian dishes for a party, I'm looking for something a bit different, thanks.

If egg eaters, then Rice Patties go down well.
(Left-over rice, eggs, milk, spicy as you like, fried. Hot or cold)
Paneer bhurji (looks a bit like an interesting version of scrambled eggs) - again, nice hot, still nice cold.
Simpler: roast chopped onions with fresh ginger, then small or chopped aubergines. Mine get scoffed hot, and if any left they disappear overnight.
