By "phlegmy" you mean "loose", easy to bring up mucous.....coloured.....I assume.

I was worried by the amount of phlegm that seemed to be 'on my chest' and worried if i may develop pneumonia. Is that paranoia or a potential concern?
LOL...Paranoia.

If you feel well in yourself, no temperature or night sweats, then no big deal.

I have been coughing up submarines and trolley buses for the last 5 months. The first morning hack sometimes has blood in it. All quite usual my cardi consultants tell me. Who am I to argue. Still got a pulse. :-)

Interesting.. Sometimes in the mornings if i am unwell i can bring up very light pink blood in my spit but i've been told by the docs this is due to straining as i cough or chunder
