Bliss Tonight.....
20 Answers
.....DIY SOS......I know the programme and I have seen clips but never watched one through.
Hiding from the rain and wind we watched TV tonight and are so glad we did.
All those folk and companies giving their time, expertise and materials to create a home for a wonderful family was so heartwarming. The neighbours making thousands of cups of tea.
But it was the two guys who brought tears to my eyes........becoming dads to four children who need so much care and love is wonderful. To see the children so happy and the love that they are receiving lifted my spirits today........
Some days you just need to be reminded that there are lovely, kind and gentle people out there...today was one of those days and I am so glad I watched this programme......bliss indeed..... :-)

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Yes - I’d never ever have watched this programme if I wasn’t stuck in an apartment with a carp old TV and only one watchable channel - but it was just wonderful and the couple looking after the wonky (as they called themselves) kids were brilliant and deserved all the praise and help that they got.
“Heart warming” can be an over-used phrase, but this truly was.

I know, Chrissa......I'm far from snobby about TV but there aren't many programmes I watch. I'm a huge radio fan....plays and so on and books from Audible probably because I'm always doing something with my hands...knitting, sewing and so on and I love listening.
If I watch TV I tend to just be listening and then miss what's happening because I simply can't just sit......
I even find the cinema difficult because my friends won't let me take my crochet or knitting along!... :-)

Thank you for this thread, I had considered posting about this.
Like you, I don’t often catch this programme, but did so last night.
The total commitment, love and goodness of the couple who had built their family took my breath away.
The support given by their extended community would suggest that many people felt the same.
I was humbled by this expression of .......well, just pure love x
