.. Becoming impossible to use, due to it constantly crashing. It may be something to do with the disappearance of the blue banner at the bottom of the page. It has been replaced with an advert.

Although I'm typing this on a PC, using Firefox, I've just accessed the site on my Android phone with Chrome and I can't see any problems. (However I can still see the blue 'Privacy Settings' box - Melv seems to the only person who can't!)

Try a different browser, such as Dolphin, Melv.

I still have the blue box, as do many others. I won't go into details but I wonder if there is a common factor.

Jackdaw, do you mean adblocker? I keep it turned off on here but have just tried it and it makes no difference...either way can still see blue box bottom left.

and it is OK
altho some threads are so gormless ( the posts the ed leaves up that is!) that I wish it WOULD crash

I only find at busy times it slows to the point where I want to take a hammer to whatever device I am using
