Printer not working

I have a HP photosmart series wireless printer that was working fine with desktop and laptop. My ISP was Virginmedia, and if I remeber rightly I had to enter router key when installing printer. I have recently changed to BT Total broadband and the printer will now only work when hard wired. I have spent mo Is t5his the best solution or is there another wayre than an hour on various help sites but getting nowhere. Am beginning to think uninstall and reinstall printer as installation seems to be the only means of entering key. Is this the only way, or is there a better way?
