i have just watched most of series one, and what a good drama it is, has anyone seen it. Paul Abbot the writer of Clocking off, has created another corker.

It’s brilliant, we’ve been watching them from the start. It’s from the writer of Shameless, which is why we started watching it and is in the same sort of vein.

I saw the first series and was unimpressed.
Question Author

Question Author

I thought it was meant to be a comedy. I watched about half of the first episode of the first series, and didn't find it remotely funny.
The latest series had good reviews so I gave it another go, but no. Still not funny.
I watched first series. Thought it was quite good and funny in places but this latest series I find over the top. Two extremes, from very serious to silly/ funny. Can't be doing with it this time..
thanks M
I will give it another try
I didnt think much of the first episode
Question Author
it got very good story lines and some OTT acting i agree, but it's not a comedy that's for sure.
I got half way through the first series and got bored. Same old jokes same old caricatures and found the acting appalling.
Question Author
oh well - will watch the rest if i can,
Like most of Paul Abbot's work, No Offence is darkly humorous. There aren't many 'gags' but situational humour runs all the way through; gallows-humour is an integral part of a Police Officer's day.

It's an excellent series. :o)
even if I had liked it, I wouldn't have said it was excellent.
Question Author
does anyone know if this drama is ongoing,
as on All4 the catchup is only to Series 3 episode 2.
watched up to then, and don't know if its running, if so what channel, time.
No OFfence. Thursday 9.00 p.m. Channel four.
Question Author
cashier many thanks, so Thursday at 9 channel 4, i will record it, or watch on catch up.
