Would clapping really induce anxiety? Really?.

I Note Sara Khan quoted in the link is the same Sara Khan who said "We, as an exec team, believe that Kipling stands for the opposite of liberation, empowerment, and human rights..."

How much rubbish can one person spout?

When I think of Jazz hands I think of Al Jolson blacking up. Quite ironic really. Don't worry though, I'm sure it will eventually dawn on them and then have to come up with some other ridiculous way of showing appreciation.

I'm unaware whether BSL has names for each sign, I guess it has been popularised in some way unofficially with that title.

I suppose you could do it lower (under the table maybe?) but then no one would know you approved of the performance.
Yes absolutely Naomi. Someone ought to use jazz hands in one of their events then start singing 'mammy'. Now that would be funny.
...or do the sign behind their back?

That may upset fewer.
