I’ve been told I’ve got Gastroenteritis. So no work for me - while I’m not happy about it there isn’t anything I can do and I certainly don’t want to pass it on to anyone.

Think I might go get a shower take some paracetamol and find my book to read or catch up on some TV. Might even fit in some sleep.

Have a good day folks

Thanks Minty, Kvalidir and LIK.

To be fair I’ve been lucky there hasn’t been any throwing up but loads of nauseous feelings. But I’ve had 2 hours sleep battle to keep sugars in line though.
Rest well and feel better soon xxx

Thank you Mamya. I’m doing my best. Dad insisted I try a piece of toast just in case my sugars drop. I’ve been reluctant to drink too so he’s made up my water bottle with some lemon squash and to try and drink. I just want to sleep xx
Never had it but nausea is something I suffer with quite often. Worse feeling ever. I'd rather be in pain.
Husband has been hospitalised with it.
Hope you recover soon Queenofmean, for the time being try to relax and loosen up a bit ;) Jokes aside i wish you well

Sorry folks, i fell asleep. But I needed it after only managing 2 hours the night before. I’m sort of with you Ummmm.
I had Norovirus 8 years ago and I ended up in immediate care never been so ill in all my life.
Thanks Spathi I’m going to try some cabbage for tea, I actually want food and I’m not over keen on toast.
Glad you're feeling a bit better Queenie. I had Norovirus once as well, nearly killed me, I couldn't even drink water and my sugar levels were petrifying. Keep on feeling better xxx

Me too Kvalidir.

When I had norovirus it began about 10pm at night and I was being sick every 2-3 minutes until I got to hospital about 2pm the next day. I remember the nurse in a very ‘And WHY have you had no insulin’ I apparently opened one eye and said well when you’ve been throwing up every 2 minutes since last night when do you think I had time? She sort of looked at me and said ok fair point.

I’ve battled today been high teens - no ketones so that’s good. Still headachey and cold but feel a bit better than what I did earlier.
xxx
Hope it leaves you soon Queenie. I had a couple of bad bouts a few weeks ago. Mine started off feeling sick for about 5 days, then it really hit me. Lets hope this is all there is to come for you. Nothing worse. All the best xx
Question Author
